Louise Goff

I am an academic dietitian and joined Leicester Diabetes Centre as Professor of Nutrition Science in 2023. I completed my PhD in Nutrition & Biochemistry at Imperial College London, where my interest in cardiometabolic health began. My research career over the last 20 years has focused on the role of nutrition in the development, prevention and management of type 2 diabetes and cardiometabolic risk, with a particular interest in ethnicity. I lead an inter-disciplinary programme of research focused on improving our understanding of the pathophysiology of type 2 diabetes and nutrition interventions for tackling ethnic inequalities in cardiometabolic health.
