Louisa Herring

As Physical Activity, Research and Implementation Lead Research Associate at the Leicester Diabetes Centre, I research in the area of physical activity and clinical populations (obesity and multiple other long term conditions) and lead the translation of our physical activity research into implementable tools for people living with or at risk of long term conditions.

I joined the Leicester Loughborough Biomedical Research Unit as a PhD student in 2012 achieving a PhD from Loughborough University in the area of Physical Activity, lifestyle and Bariatric Surgery. I concurrently worked as the exercise expert in a weight management service and have worked at the Diabetes Research Centre since 2016.

Favourite way to be active

Swimming, cycling and stand up paddle boarding.
