Eda Tonga

I joined Leicester Lifestyle and Health Research Group in October 2021 as a research associate.  I am working on P-STEP project with Prof. Tom Yates.  I have worked as physiotherapist, research assistant, senior researcher/lecturer over 10 years in Turkey.  After having completed my PhD, I was awarded the EULAR Health Professionals educational grant. Then I was awarded as international postdoctoral research fellow from TUBITAK. I worked at University of Oxford NDORMS as a postdoctoral researcher between 2018- 2019 where I worked on digital health for rehabilitation. My project was awarded from Oxford University Innovation. My main research interests are physical activity, exercise and digital health.

• P-STEP - P-STEP is an innovative app platform that will deliver and monitor personalised walking prescriptions to patients living with long term health conditions. THE P-STEP app will provide diseases specific recommendations and warnings based on environmental conditions.
