Christian Koeder
I joined the Leicester Lifestyle & Health Research Group in 2026, following postdoctoral positions in Germany at the Institute for Prevention and Cancer Epidemiology (Faculty of Medicine, University of Freiburg) and the Research Institute for Plant-Based Nutrition (2022 to 2026). My research focuses on plant-based diets, i.e., diets with a notably lower intake of animal products than regular omnivorous diets. My research so far includes observational studies (cross-sectional and prospective), clinical trials (randomised, non-randomised; parallel, cross-over; diet change, nutritional supplements), as well as literature reviews, commentaries, and perspectives. My strongest interest is in vegan diets.
