Implementation Science
What we do?
We study and evaluate the implementation of lifestyle interventions designed to improve lifestyle behaviours, such as increasing physical activity and reducing sedentary behaviour across healthcare, community and workplace settings. Using concepts, theories, frameworks and methods from the field of Implementation Science, our research seeks to understand and improve the adoption, implementation and sustainment of evidence-based interventions in real-world contexts. Through close collaboration with key stakeholders, including people living with long-term conditions, healthcare professionals, policymakers and community partners, we aim to bridge the gap between research and practice, maximising the reach and impact of lifestyle interventions. We also contribute to the conceptual and methodological advancement of implementation through the development of innovation tools, resources and approaches.
