Claire Meek
I am a Professor of Chemical Pathology and Diabetes in Pregnancy at Leicester Diabetes Centre. I started my research career at the University of Cambridge studying nutritional interventions to improve glucose levels and promote weight loss in people with type 2 diabetes. I moved to the Diabetes Research Centre in 2023 and now I run the diabetes in pregnancy service at University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust, supporting a large, ethnically and socioeconomically diverse cohort of pregnant women. I also run observational and interventional studies to improve clinical outcomes for pregnant women and their children.
